2025 LINEMEN OF POCo SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Lineman of Pend Oreille County Scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior who has been accepted into and attends a line school of their choice within one year of receiving the scholarship.* (Once finalists are chosen, they should apply to the line school of their choosing. Upon acceptance, Linemen of POCo will release funds to that school.) The scholarship is $10,000 toward the student's tuition, but the student must pay for his/her own books, gear, CDL, etc. The applicant must be a resident of Pend Oreille County and/or attend a Pend Oreille County High School.

Requirements:

• High school senior

• Resident of Pend Oreille County or attending a Pend Oreille County School

• Submit GPA

• Merit based on extracurricular activities /afterschool programs (i.e. work, sports, volunteer work)

• Submit essay (500-700 words): Why do you want to be a lineman? (We will not give preference based on grammar, spelling or punctuation, but on content.)

• 2 Letters of Recommendation (not from a relative)
